Which cookies and similar technologies the portal uses, which of them require your consent and how you can change or withdraw it.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that the browser stores when you visit a website. Records in the browser's storage (localStorage) work similarly. Under § 109, para. 8 of Act no. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications, we may store data on your device or read it from it only with your consent. The exception is the essential data we need to provide a service that you have expressly requested.
Consent to cookies is not a condition for browsing the portal. The operator is News, s.r.o., Zuby 1/1234, 900 21 Svätý Jur, company ID (IČO) 36346187, contact: news@news.sk.
2. Necessary cookies (without consent)
The portal needs these data to function, so they do not require consent.

4. Advertising cookies (only with consent)
They serve to display and measure ads, limit ad repetition and protect against abuse. They are set only after your consent. If you consent to personalized ads, they may also take your interests into account.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads, __gpi | Google AdSense | Ad display and measurement | Up to 13 months |
IDE | Google (doubleclick.net) | Ad personalization and measurement | 13 months |
Records in the browser's storage, for example google_ama_config | Google AdSense | Ad display settings | Until you delete them |
The exact list and validity periods are determined by Google and may change. For current information see the page How Google uses cookies in advertising.
5. Consent banner
The consent banner is provided by Google (Funding Choices). It stores only your choice, for example in the cookies FCCDCF and FCNEC, so that the portal does not ask you again on every visit.
6. How to change or withdraw consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing or refusing consent does not affect how the portal works.
The consent banner did not load on this device (for example a browser add-on blocks it, or it does not apply to you). You can also manage consent by clearing cookies in your browser.
- Deleting cookies in the browser: instructions are in your browser's help (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). After deleting, the banner will ask you again.
- Personalized ads: you can turn them off in Google Ads Settings.
- How Google uses data from websites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
7. Third-party map data
When a map is displayed, tiles are downloaded from the map provider's servers (OpenStreetMap and, depending on the layer, also the public services of the Geodetic and Cartographic Institute of Bratislava and the State Geological Institute of Dionýz Štúr). The provider then sees your IP address and browser data; we do not store cookies in the process. More in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to the policy
The list of cookies may change. The current wording is always on this page. This policy takes effect on 6 November 2026.
